CoreRx Expansion Brings 55 New Jobs to Pinellas
Pharmaceutical manufacturer CoreRx will soon add 55 high-wage jobs to Pinellas County, Florida, while retaining its current 16 Tampa Bay employees. The new jobs result from a planned expansion that also necessitates a new, larger location. “Pinellas County has exactly what we’ll need to expand our operations, says Todd Daviau, Ph.D, President & CEO of CoreRx. “We chose to remain in the Tampa Bay region, rather than move out of state, because of the area’s strong medical industry and the expansion assistance afforded through Florida’s incentive programs.”

Spotlight on Tarpon Springs
Located on the scenic Anclote River, Tarpon Springs is famous for its historic sponge industry and Greek heritage. The city is aggressively planning its future; using extensive public and business stakeholder input, the city developed a Special Area Plan for its Sponge Docks and Community Redevelopment Area. It proposes mixed-use districts designed to preserve the special character of each neighborhood and corridor within Downtown Tarpon Springs’ 226-acre Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). A Vacant and Developable Lands summary provides many opportunities for infill and redevelopment projects.
