ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Last month, St. Petersburg resident Peter Kageyama released his book For the Love of Cities, about the emotional connections that we have with some places versus others and the benefits that accrue to communities that are able to tap into that emotional wellspring.

On Saturday morning, April 23, Peter teams up with the City of St. Petersburg, the Sustainable Entrepreneurship & Innovation Alliance at USF St. Petersburg’s College of Business, the SBDC at Pinellas County Economic Development, Creative Tampa Bay, and many others in an attempt to share what we already love about the City of St. Petersburg and develop some simple ways to make the city more “lovable” for all of us.

Bill Jackson, director of the Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation Alliance, is helping organize the event.

“This event is simply a continuation of our focus on community and citizenship,” Jackson said. “We cannot wait to see what unique perspectives we, as a group, can contribute to this conversation.”

The event is open to the public and begins at 9 am. Registration is now open at http://lovingstpete.eventbrite.com/.
