Dynamet Breaks Ground on Expansion

 

 

In mid-September, 2011, Pinellas County business

Dynamet Incorporated broke ground on an expansion project that will increase the company’s facility by 23,000 square feet and bring 15 new jobs to the area. The decision to expand came after careful consideration was given to other options for the growing company, including the possibility of relocating to another state in order to consolidate similar operations. According to B. Riffee, General Manger, Dynamet Florida, the right decision was made: “We really did weigh every available choice and ultimately concluded that Pinellas County was in the best interest of Dynamet and Carpenter Technology Corporation.”

Gulfport – A Slice of Historic Florida

 

Gulfport is a 2.5 square mile waterfront city with old Florida charm. Known for its friendliness, diversity, thriving arts community and off-beat historic flavor, Gulfport is well worth a visit. Its waterfront area is full of restaurants, unique shopping experiences and home of the famed 1930s era Gulfport Casino.  The Casino was the site of the first Gulfport election after incorporation in 1910.  It still sports hard wood floors and is a favorite spot for dance groups of all styles. Decrease Operating Costs by Cutting Waste at Work

Pinellas County has helped over 63 businesses, including Lockheed Martin, Nature’s Food Patch, and Bausch + Lomb, initiate comprehensive recycling and waste reduction practices resulting in considerable reductions in disposal costs. Free waste assessments are available along with customized recommendations. On-site training can be arranged to help inform all employees about the benefits. In addition, educational and promotional materials can be provided to serve as in-house reminders.
